Post Community CU K-9 Project

Donation protected
Post Community Credit Union is proud to announce our 2015 charitable event.  Our Credit Union with the help of the community and membership will be purchasing the next K-9 for the Battle Creek Police Department.  Our goal for the year is $12,500.00. This will be enough to achieve the purchase of a new Belgain Malinois which is one of the top breeds with the highest performance in this field. Our membership and the community has chosen the name Ace to represent our K-9.

A Forever Recovery, a Battle Creek drug rehabilitation center, at 216 St. Mary's Lake Road announced they will match donations up to $5,000 for the purchase of the dog.

Chad Fickle is the current handler of Dash.  Dash will be retiring just in time for Chad to take on the responsibility of training our dog.  Chad has been handling K-9’s for many years and is extremely grateful to be a part of our project this year. Dash is a Dutch Shepard that is 8 years old and is a huge part of the BCPD.  He has many capabilities such as narcotic detection, completing building and property searches, handler protection and tracking of suspects.

PCCU is so excited to share with the community and we cannot wait to bring another K-9 dog into our amazing city.  The Battle Creek Police Department does so much for our community and we are thrilled to give back!
