INDY PAGAN PRIDE NEEDS PARKING!

Indianapolis Pagan Pride Day NEEDS PARKING!
You may have noticed that Indianapolis Pagan Pride Day - the third largest Pagan pride event in the country - has outgrown the available parking at Broad Ripple Park...the surrounding neighborhoods...and possibly all of Broad Ripple itself! Unless we want to start ‘clown car-ing’ it in, we’re going to have to use an offsite parking and shuttle service for the event.

WHAT THIS MEANS:
You drive your car to a nearby location, park for free, and ride a free shuttle to Broad Ripple Park. When you’re ready to leave, you catch the next shuttle back to your car. Parking at the park will be reserved for those with greatest need - those with disabilities and select volunteers and vendors.
NO MORE stalking the parking lot for an open space. NO MORE long treks from the surrounding neighborhoods.
The shuttle will bring you from parking lot to parking lot with the safety and security of knowing your vehicle is parked legally and in a lot monitored by a member of security.

WHAT WE NEED:
Money! Specifically, $2,000 to cover the cost of the offsite lot, the shuttles, insurance and security. Our estimated cost breakdown based on current quotes is:

$700 for event police officers
$300 to rent the offsite parking lot
$500 for passenger van rentals
$500 for insurance, promotion, and incidentals

For 17 years IPPD has operated solely on vendor fees and contributions from our community. We charge no entrance fee so the event can be attended by anyone. We accept no paid sponsors so the event can be created by everyone. As we have grown to one of the largest Pagan Pride days in the country, our expenses have grown also. At this point, unfortunately, parking is a required expense. We hope our community will come forward in generosity, as they do every year, and help to cover this cost.
Please consider donating any amount you feel comfortable with. (Should we be lucky enough to receive more than the $2,000.00 budgeted for parking, excess funds will go towards improving the event.)

Thank you!! We look forward to seeing you at the 2015 Indianapolis Pagan Pride Day!
