GORDON is a foster kitty with Cat NAPS of Pottstown, Inc., and as you can see, he is a very handsome cat. He'll be one year old in April.
Sometimes events really do happen for a reason: Gordon's littermates, Bombay Sapphire & Gilby, were adopted long ago while Gordon was overlooked. Over the time Gordon has been in foster care, he developed luxating patellas in both his hind legs. W're pretty sure not many people can afford the cost of surgery or would have it done, which is estimated to be in the $6,000.00 range. Most individuals would not turn to the general public & ask for donations, either. But we're not too proud to do that for the foster cats in our care. Once they'e with Cat NAPS of Pottstown, Inc., we do our best to provide them with what they need to live a happy, healthy, comfortable life.
To this end, we are concentrating our fundraising efforts on Gordon to garner the money needed to aid in paying for his surgery. Without this operation, his life will not be pain free: continual luxations throughut the range of motion while Godon is ambling about would lead to cartilage erosion & osteoarthritis. Additionally, jumping & high-impact activities while the patella is luxating can cause rupture and subsequent joint instability.
Our goal is to have Gordon be able to live a pain-free life. Would you please consider helping Gordon to realize the goal of living a comfortable life without pain?
