Living in a van down by the river

Yes I have quoted a wonderful line by the late great Mr. Chris Farley from his Saturday Night Live skit.

Fundamentally, the humor of the life he described is undeniable. The thread contained in the body of it as being a motivator for individual change is the core message I connect most with.

By some measure of desire, my life has lead me to the path I currently find myself on within the small community of Central Oregon as a fisheries advocate.

By force of will I have decided that my path creates opportunity to communicate the concerns I have for the health of the rivers and streams throughout West.

THE PURPOSE IS TO GET PEOPLE INVOLVED.

By the opportunities I create with connectivity, it fosters within the community a sense that the individual can become part of creating a brighter future for these waters.

So what is this all about? Why do I need this money? To start it up correctly and file and run this as a non-profit organization.

At the heart of this effort is to help create informed awareness and outreach deliverables for the groups and organizations who cannot afford to have someone create online media that furthers their conservation agenda.

Specifically - this program is going to create educational opportunities for disadvantaged youth, and leadership opportunities for young adults and their families.

I plan on broadcasting through a variety of channels, and focusing online and social media.

These experiences will be shared to show the benefit from the collaboration required from businesses, cititzen, agencies and organizations to succeed at them.

I have the desire and ability to do more. I have the ability and skills needed to continue providing the outreach and education needed to create positive change. I have the desire to focus my life toward the long term need that is required for this change to occur.

I will be working the following:
1. Hosting/Presenting at outreach and education events.
2. Visiting schools to foster the future stewards of the resource.
3. Working with a variety of non-profits to achieve their outreach needs.

Here's a short I put together that provides a little background for your review and I hope inspires you to ask me questions or help however you can.

Beyond that short, I have also created and managed the following websites for a variety of non-profit groups who would benefit from my full-time attention:

The Trout Bus
Bend Casting Club

Oregon Council of Trout Unlimited
Crooked River Steelhead

I also administer the following Facebook Pages and Groups:

Bend Casting Club on Facebook
Bend Fly Fishing Festival
Oregon Council of Trout Unlimited on Facebook
Central Oregon Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing on Facebook
Fly Fishing Central Oregon Group on Facebook

To date I have helped broadcast and create awareness for these groups and organizations utilizing social media, print matter, and website development with a projected annual reach in the millions throughout the U.S. and additionally reached a dozen countries outside of North America.

Term limits may apply for the differing levels of "Rewards Support". You will be contacted with these details if you choose this option of advertising on the bus.
