Children's Books for Page Ahead

For many years, Santoro's Books has supported the efforts of literacy organizations in Seattle. One of those is Page Ahead, an organization that gives new books to children who can’t afford them. They strictly adhere to their commitment to provide only new books, as opposed to used. As lifelong readers, we all know the thrill of opening a brand new book – there’s nothing quite like it. I can only imagine what it feels like for children who are experiencing this for the first time. There are many testimonials from teachers describing the success of this program on the Page Ahead website. The upshot is that children who have their own books, who have them readily available in their homes, are more motivated to read. And students who are the beneficiaries of the Page Ahead program are performing better in school.

My goal is to raise enough money to donate at least 100 books to  Page Ahead in time for Children's Book Week, May 4 - 10, 2015. The money you donate goes directly toward the purchase of new books at wholesale prices.  A $15.00 donation is enough to purchase 2 great kids' books, but any amount is appreciated.
