Solomon Chau's Fight Against Cancer

Hello, and thank you to the GoFundMe community for your time and support. Solomon Chau of Toronto, Ontario was diagnosed with liver cancer in December 2014, and underwent surgery to have the tumor removed. Solomon was told that the surgery was a success, and that he would be back in good health within a few months. Solomon and his fiancé Jenn Carter continued with the planning of their wedding and of their future together. In late March, Solomon was rushed to the hospital with severe stomach pain. He was told that the cancer had spread, and that his remaining time would now be measured in months. On behalf of Solomon, and in reaching out to the GoFundMe community, Solomon’s family and friends wish to give this beautiful couple the chance to have their wedding as soon as possible in a time of Solomon’s good health, and to give Solomon a chance to take part in as many of life’s joys and experiences as possible.
Solomon is a 26 year old chef, originally from St. Catharines, Ontario, who has recently laid roots in Toronto by starting a career with hopes to eventually start a family. Solomon has worked countless hours to establish himself with Toronto’s most reputable restaurants. The diagnosis came as a HUGE surprise to since Solomon has always led a healthy lifestyle, including a passion for exercise and nutrition.
Solomon is deeply loved by his family and friends, and was blessed with a heart so large it puts most of us to shame. He is one of the kindest, most giving, selfless, and caring people we have ever met. He is the first to help in any situation, a true friend and someone you can always depend on. The news and situation Solomon now faces should never have to be experienced by anyone, let alone a 26 year old healthy young man. We wish that Jenn and Sol will be given the opportunity to make the absolute most of his precious time. Solomon’s final wish is to have one last trip with Jenn. We hope to raise money to fund Jenn and Sol’s wedding, and to send them on an unforgettable trip together.
