This young family of 3 Kaitlyn, David and 7 month old Gleniyah have been the Victims of a Rental Home Scam on Craigslist...
My name is Gary Camarda, I am a Realtor with ReMax Assured in Orlando.. I went to show a Buyer the home, which was supposed to be a vacant foreclosed Bank owned home.. When we pulled up Kaitlyn came out and asked "Can I help you?" I told her we were here to see the house, She asked me, what do you mean, I just rented this house and moved in today.. She showed me the lease and rent receipts that she received from the person who rented her the house.... The house she found on CraigsList.... I explained that this could be a scam because a bank does not rent a home that is listed for sale and this one is listed for sale... After looking into the Name, phone number and address that the scammer gave Kaitlyn, I found that the phone number was disconnected, the address did not check out and the Name used was fake. This young family gave all they had to move into this house and now are being faced with being thrown out by the "Real Owner" the bank... They have no money left to move again. Please help these victims of the Craiglist Rental home scam!!! any amount you can give helps.
