Dacey Family Fundraiser

Hello and Thank you to all of you who have helped out this wonderful family... I have decided to take the time to revise my request for a dear friend and his family, this time with the help of more details of some mutual friends we have.

My last posting was written quickly and my main objective was to get it out there. Well, keeping my identity secret has been a good thing. Through many of Jim's close friends that I am also friends with I have learned a great deal more. This poor man is under so much stress it's amazing he hasn't had a full blown out massive heart attack with all that is going on. The gist of his story is this, last August Jim had 2 mini-strokes, both times he blacked out and both times he was hospitalized. He was out of work 2 weeks because of all that. Fast forward to today, according to his Neurologist (sources say) the side effects sometimes take effect immediately or months later (it varies), these residual effects are affecting Jim now, and some of them he may have to live with for the rest of his life.

Recently I was told they increased his medication, not to get better, but to calm him down. Now he's taking something that is stronger than Xanax (I didn't get the name of it), but it makes him sleepy and it actually seems to be making him more emotionally stressed out. He takes all kinds of medications for his High Blood Pressure yet most morning (I have seen his posts) his typical morning blood pressure is like 189/105; and that's after he took all his medication.  I can't imagine what it would be if he didn't have all that medication.

Friends of the Dacey Family, this family needs your help now more than ever. As many of you knew that Chrissy (Jim's beloved wife of soon to be 29 years) had stage 4 terminal lung cancer from May 2010 to Dec 2013. She beat it, and it beat her down and it took its toll on the family pretty hard, it cost them everything, wiping out all savings, retirement and any and all reserves they had... Thank God Chrissy is alive, those losses mean nothing.. Jim has said that many times.

But sadly my friends while Jimmy was hospitalized for collapsing several times, Chrissy had her Oncology appointment and through some testing they found that the cancer is one again growing (it's coming back). Jim spent most of the month of March in the hospital. My heart is broken, I confess to you that I am at this point of this rewrite in tears thinking how much harder can it get for this poor family. On top of that Chrissy HAS TO WORK 7 days a week for some pitiful income to help support the family, her income is the only income as of now. Jim is battling Temporary Disability, a battle that can take months or even years to start. Current income other than Chrissy's is $0.00. In the meantime bills pile up, bills collectors call day and night, weekends, their medical debt still stem from Chrissy’s 4 years of cancer, Jim’s Strokes and current medical activities, a friend told me Jim said, they have about 30K in medical bills and they keep receiving mail most days about so many of these bills... this family needs a break. Please help them... They need our help.

One more thing. Chrissy is fully disabled because of her cancer and she was on SSI... (a family member told me this –hope they can’t figure out who I am) well NYS said she qualified and then after a year they said NO. So NYS has an 8K lawsuit against the family, so every year at tax time the family DOES NOT receive a tax return the state takes it all, till the lawsuit is paid.... Please consider what you can do to help this poor people. They could be homeless soon if this continues. They constantly receive bad news or news with no promise of anything that is good. Thank you so much... Oh and Jimmy and Chrissy I send you and your 5 wonderful kids my love. One day I will tell you who I am.
