Tolu's Medical Fund

This page is for my sister Tolu Ladeinde, a missionary to Russia for over 10 years.Tolu got a brain tumor and began having seizures while in Russia. After returning home for surgery in the spring 2015, she developed an extreme allergic reaction to the anti-seizure medication she was taking.Her condition was called  TEN               (http://dermnetnz.org/reactions/sjs-ten.html). This extreme allergic reaction almost killed Tolu but the grace of God she pulled through.

Tolu, as many who know her could agree,  has a warrior’s spirit.  She is always the one rallying around others to help.  This time around she needs our help.  She has a heart for Jesus and is always positive about situations.  She always brings a smile and a 'can-do' attitude to everything she does. Right after college, Tolu answered call of God to go share the love of Christ with the Russian people. She has given her entire young adult life to serving others.  She has remained faithful to God’s call for the past 13 years in Russia.

While serving in Russia, she had brain surgery 7 years ago.  Upon her recovery, she returned to Russia to continue serving but the tumor  recently returned .  As I mentioned early, Tolu started having seizures in 2015 so it became important that she undergo another brain surgery to deal with the  new tumor. In January 2016, she finally went through brain surgery and after 9 hours of  surgery Tolu came through on the other side. Now since the completion of the surgery, Tolu has been dealing with a post-surgery  infection on her head which has been difficult to treat but we optimistic that her body will respond to treatment she now recieving.  After Tolu recovers from this current infections she will then enter the last phase of her treatment with will be chemotherapy and radiation treatments for the next 6 months.

Though she has some insurance coverage, it is limited. There is a significant cost to the care she is receiving at one of the top Hospitals in the nation. She has a team of doctors and specialist working with her around the clock on every area of her body.    We are asking you to consider giving to help offset her medical costs.  As she recovers, the last thing she needs to worry about is the mounting medical bills and financial stress on her family.  Your giving will encourage her to stay the course and fight for victory.
