Laura's car fund

My car died on me, and I desperately need to get a new one ASAP. I literally cannot do my job as a nanny without a car as it requires me being able to drive the kids around. Public transit to school takes about 2 hours and involves a lot of walking as there is not a close bus stop.

I have about $1000 in savings to start with, but unfortunately do not have good credit due to medical/hospitalization bills. Because of this I will have to get a high interest loan and need to put as much down as possible, or (hopefully) will be able to save enough to buy a car in cash and will be able to avoid having to pay interest. 

I really need help with this. Any little bit can help. My intention is to eventually pay back any money given to me over time, especially any amounts over $100.  Thank you!!
