Pop-Up Pulse is a movement to remember, celebrate, and raise funds for the victims of the Pulse Nightclub Shooting in Orlando. Starting in Miami,
Pop-Up Pulse events will be held around the globe at bars, clubs, and anywhere else people gather to dance, have fun, and to be themselves. That’s how the victims lived, and we want to prove that that’s the type of world we all want to live in.
Admission to Pop-Up Pulse events is by donation only. So simply donate to this page, and then present your confirmation for entry.
All proceeds from Pop-Up Pulse events will be donated to Equality Florida, the largest civil rights organization dedicated to securing full equality for Florida’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community. Equality Florida is working with the National Center for Victims of Crime, which deployed funds in both the Chattanooga and Aurora shootings. To host your own Pop-Up Pulse event:
- Choose an establishment (bar, restaurant, club, café) of any size that is willing to celebrate and act as Pulse for a one night pop-up. Operations there can be 100% business as usual, but for that night, they are Pulse.
- For entry, attendees make any size donation to this page and show it upon entry of the venue (whether there's a check-in person or honor system)
- Ask the establishment to make a donation at their discretion
- Use the hashtag #popuppulse to urge people to show their defiance around the world
