Nancy Blum Memorial Arch Rock Landslide

I was hiking at Point Reyes on Arch Rock around 5pm Saturday March 21. We walked up the cliff by a couple sitting on the rock enjoying the sunset and a snack. While taking photos just feet from them, we heard a loud boom that sounded like a loud wave crashing. We ran off the cliff to get up to a higher point. When we turned around we watched as the cliff and couple plunged to the ground. There was no way to access them and we were the only ones that saw. Although it's a tragedy neither one of us ever wanted to see, I'm glad we were there. If not no one even would know that they had gone down with this cliff it was like the earth sucked them up. We immediately ran as the rocks tumbled behind us to call 911. Neither of our phones got reception so we ran as fast as we could for help. Finally we ran into a couple of bikers who were able to quickly get to an area of reception. A few people rode back to the scene to see if they could help. Help finally arrived and the woman died. The man is in the hospital with critical injuries. All I can picture in my mind is watching his arms reaching for her as the cliff gave way. I'm raising money for a funeral that I don't want to have the added pain of the family paying for. Please pray for them both.
