Hello to all that have stopped by to look at this profile.
My name is mark and I've been a full time carer for victoria for the last 4 years,she has been diagnosed with a very rare medical condition called jackhammer oesophagus that affect a few in this country.
I am raising funds for an operation called a hellers myotomy,the reason being is that she cannot eat any solid food at present and is tube fed via a peg system directly into her stomach. Victoria is 33 years old and has to take a vast amount of medicines on a daily basis,to help rid her of the spasms that continuously plague her diaphragm. Spasms are where the muscles of the oesophagus contract causing heart attack like symptoms along with the vomiting of stomach acid (acid reflux).
If the operation is a successful one,my lovely wife of nearly 2 years will be able to swallow and digest normal food,instead of the permanent liquid diet she has to endure. This lady is the love of my life,and it breaks my heart to see her like this.
