Nico's SCID FIGHT Fund #nicostrong

Hi everyone,

This past November Nico went to what should have been a routine dr's appointment for what should have been a routine vaccination. 

He got his chicken pox vaccine and then curiously developed chicken pox. The virus ran it's course, but things never quite got back to normal for him, He began swelling in random spots and on a particularly scary day was taken to Hasbro Children's Hospital because there was fear that his throat/airway was in danger.

Shortly after his hospital stay it was discovered that he was born with an extremely rare genetic disease. He was born with Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCID)...better known as "Bubble Boy Disease".

At present he is waiting, and fighting, for a bone marrow transplant at Boston Children's Hospital.  His Mom, Dana is trying her best to keep finances under control while being in Boston for Nico - no easy feat. 

Medical bills are piling up and as a single mom, paying for both a mortgage AND a place to stay in Boston are proving to be a real struggle. 

With our help she can focus on Nico, instead of paying for a hotel and medical bills. ANYTHING will help!
