Richard was a man known by many. He was sometimes quick to anger; however, he would always help in any way, shape or form if someone was in need.
Many; unfortunately, took his kindness for weakness and took advantage of his generosity. Although he often complained about how he allowed himself to be taken advantage of, he would still give you his last beer, cigarette, dollar or whatever it may of been to make sure that his guest were happy, or even a stranger for that matter..
Unfortunately there are many seen and unforseen financial responsibilities that are needed. Extra funds are needed for many things.
I don't even know where to begin and how much to ask for. I feel badly that I even have to ask and am more grateful than anyone will ever know.. All of a sudden I am looking at a lot of finacial responsibility that most people; such as myself, are not even remotely aware of until it happens. I suggest life insurance (Pops hadn't been in effect for 2 years yet so I'll know more about that later) At the very least Final Expense.. And get a will.. Your loved ones will definately be saved a lot of stress and financial worries.
With paper work etc being able to take care of the short term legalities and fees etc, we are able to raise some funds; however, not nearly enough, so I am asking for assistance if anyone is able to help. $5 and $10 adds up quickly when you have a bunch of people helping out.
A Memorial Service-Wake-Benefit-Party-Shindig is planned. There is a private memorial service (Please contact me on facebook for location, date and time) and also starting at 10p at Jimmie's Ladder 11 in Dayton, Oh on Saturday April 11th 2015 there will be a public memorial-benefit-fundraiser.
Once again I would like to thank everyone in this time of grief and despair.. Words can not express my gratitude and appreciation to all of you for everything..
You were loved by many Pops, it is sad you left this Earth so soon and so suddenly.. You touched more lives than anyone will ever know..
We love and miss you Pops. May you Rest In Peace.
