UPDATE: I can't tell you how much your support has meant to us. Unfortunately, sometimes it's more difficult to dig yourself out of a hole than you initially think. Not wanting to ask for more than we needed, I underestimated the amount of money it would take to do so. We're stll at risk of losing our place and even cutting back to the bare minimums, bills continue to pile up.
I know we can do it - I know we will do it and if you can help in any way, we would be forever grateful and of course, pay it forward when we're able.

Asking for help has always been hard for me. Knowing that others have it much worse than we do, makes it even harder. But, we are going to be forced to leave our home in less than 3 weeks if we don't raise this money and I don't know what else to do. Pride is a luxury I just can't afford right now.
Medical bills and a job lay-off have left me in a serious financial situation. But this is what we're doing/have done:
My son attends college and works part time and he's requested more hours at work and is looking for anything additional he can pick up. He's currently doing odd jobs for a neighbor.
My first unemployment payment has still not been received and although I have several good leads on jobs, nothing is definite yet. I continue to apply everyday, interview, seek freelance work, and network online and offline.
We've put anything we can sell on Ebay or Craigslist.
These are all good steps that I know will produce results but slowly and not in time to prevent the eviction.
Whatever you can afford will be greatly appreciated. A job offer would be even better!
