Saving Sophie

Donation protected
Our mission is to give hope to the hopeless. We focus on the animals least likely to receive another chance due to physical, emotional, behavioral or health issues. We strive to prove these animals in need have the desire for another chance, the ability to respond in a positive manner to the opportunity that with compassionate care will heal and thrive with a renewed spirit. Through our efforts, by example we hope to inspire other rescues and the public to do the same. We are a 501c3 Non-Profit Charity organization run entirely on donations and volunteer assistance.

Meet Sophie...
...found laying on the side of the Taconic State Parkway severly emaciated and left for dead...a good Samaritan stopped, picked up a growling Sophie and brought her to VCA Animal Hospital in Wappingers Falls. No owners to be found.

Sophie quickly captured the hearts of the staff, and they initially named her Joy. VCA contacted me with her case... ME!... little ole' OOO and asked for my help. "We figured you could help her" they said "this is what you do..."
"Yes," my heart in my throat, "This is what I do"

I arrived, loaded her up, and with a tear soaked tech -we said good-bye and began our plan.

The next morning we headed to see the amazing Dr. Joseph with ACS in Yonkers - which is a premier (and you pay for it) hospital. We met with Dr. Joseph, heard our choices and said, "I would like to save her and know what we're dealing with" In agreement, I kissed her head and left her in their capable hands.

After XRays and an MRI it has been determined Sophie back was broken... she is undergoing physical therapy - but even then, nothing is guaranteed...but we have a CHANCE. That is all I need, no matter how small. That is all Sophie needs... a CHANCE. We got this girl.

Her bill was an unplanned expense and has destroyed us. Please, if you can - donate so that we are able to pay off this bill, and for future bills that lil' Sophs and future orphans will incur.

Thank you.

The dream of OOO began in 1995, when I adopted my very own dog, Oliver and he quite literally saved my life.  He brought me hope, purpose and unconditional love.  e at OOO feel that everyone deserves their own "Oliver" and every "Oliver" deserves their own forever.

PLEASE, help us. Help THEM.
