My name is Jackson Augustus Adair. I am a second year photography student at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California. This project will be part of my semester portfolio. Movement, color, and beauty will be the focus of this figure study. The inspiration for the series comes from some historical giants such as August Sander and the more modern David LaChapelle. I am earning my degree in commerical photography, with a focus in glamour and fashion. I will focus on classic portrait lighting techniques and maintain a commercial look. The figures in the images will be painted gold. This will help emphasize the color and lighting techniques used to create each image. Both males and females will be used for this series, as well as a broad range of figure types. The main purpose of this collection of images will be represent the beauty and shape of the human figure.
