Hi,
I'm AJ Gross, soon to be Big Screen Actor (or at least I hope).
Since I was little, I've been obsessed with comics and superheros. I could tell you all of the historical relevance also give you my take on how it should be portrayed in the movies. My dream is to portray a superhero on the Big Screen. Not to be famous or rich but to give this crazy world a break from reality, to dream and remember what it's like to be child.
I had a theater class in 6th grade and found a place where you pretended to be someone else. A script that could give clarity and lines that would enable me to sort my thoughts and live through someone else’s eyes. Finally, I found my place!
I've been accepted to 2017 Tisch Summer High School Stonestreet Screen Acting program. Its a 4 week course in which I get to study Screen Acting & Character, Muliti-Camera Screen Acting, Sit-coms, Improv & Comedy on Film, Commercials & the Business, the History of Screen Acting, Voice-overs and Voice on Screen, and Introduction to Audition & Performance. Plus I get to earn 6 NYU college credits as well as see performances on Broadway and work in 6,000 sq/ft production studio.
I know without a doubt that want to live as an actor and NYU could very well be the foundational step to help me achieve my dreams. I know that I am going to live with a passion unlike any have ever seen in this world.
Because both of my parents have jobs as teachers and have been married for over 20 years and I'm not a minority,.. I do not qualify for any financial aid. I know with all that's wrong in the world asking for help for acting may seem absurd but I promise you that when I make it big I am going to be the guy that takes care of ALL of those in need. Everyone has been given a gift from God with the intent that it is to be used in His glory.
I'm hoping you can help me achieve this and I will be forever grateful. I will make sure to make you proud and strive to be the most successful version of myself for you.
