Six years ago, I left Calvary Temple Church in Sterling VA. Over the years, it had become more and more controlling as I watched them break up numerous families. Their response to my decision was "we cannot make you stay but if you leave you forfeit your wife and son". It is my belief they have become a cult.
Research these last six years also revealed young girls who were harmed by leaders in this church. We fear there may be more who are too afraid to speak out. A Google search of Calvary Temple Cult will provide more details of what has happened. You will find blogs and links by brave ex-members, with stories of many families split up because a child, wife or husband decided they would not be controlled any longer. This fund is to help those who have been harmed by Calvary Temple, in Sterling, VA. Those who have come forward to tell their story have been hurt financially, as well as mentally and/or physically. This fund will help cover the costs of investigators and lawyers, and it will assist others, like young, single mothers, who may need to miss work for court appearances and other related demands.
