Nicola Family Fire Recovery Fund

On November 8, 2018 the devastating #Campfire started around 6:30am, which spread quickly through lower Magalia & all of Paradise, CA.
By 7:30am Bob and Mary Nicola learned about #Campfire as they saw the the sky covered in black and orange and flames covering the hill down the street from their neighborhood. Within less than an hour Bob and Mary grabbed as much as they could inside their home and hitched their camper to a truck. With a few bags thrown together, trying to grab as many pictures off the walls, attempting to catch scared pets, along with collecting important paperwork, Bob and Mary left their home.
Bob and Mary Nicola moved to Magalia, CA in 2009 after raising three daughters in Patterson, CA. Bob (60 yrs old) and Mary (54 yrs old) planned to retire in Magalia and enjoy some traveling.
Due to #Campfire Bob and Mary lost their home, two cats and a truck. Thousands and thousands of Magalia & Paradise residents were forced out of their homes and will go back to nothing. Thousands of business structures including Bob & Mary’s work places are gone resulting in Paradise being wiped out.
