New Hands for Rosa Moreno

Please note that I have now closed this page to further donations following communications from charities working with Rosa Moreno. Rosa's team are aware that all money from this site is going to her official fund, and I will be liaising with them over the coming week to get the money across to her.
Rosa Moreno is a former HD Electronics factory worker from Mexico who lost her hands in an accident with machinery while making flat screen TVs for LG Electronics. Rosa is no longer able to work and cannot afford the moveable prosthetic hands she needs to help her with her daily life, and help her to think about being able to work again and earn to support her family.
Although she was compensated by her employer, the money only amounted to 75% of two years' wages. Rosa still could not afford the new hands she needs. Her daughter has had to put off her university education to help support the family.
Rosa's story was recently published in The Guardian, and she has been selected for an Illuminating Injustice award by Public Justice .
Please help Rosa live her life again. All money raised will be donated to Rosa's official fund which her lawyers have confirmed and will be used to help Rosa get moveable prosthetic hands and the medical care and support she needs to help her use them, as well as to help support her family and ensure her children are educated. E-Nable , a nonprofit dedicated to making prosthetics through 3D printing techniques, are already working on creating Rosa a new movable hand.
Any surplus funds will be donated to Public Justice for their vital work supporting workers like Rosa to take on big employers like LG who refuse to acknowledge their social responsibilities.
