US Navy Veteran needs help paying rent and bills.
My Wife of 18 years walked out the front door April 29th and is filing for a years seperation. In North Carolina you have to be seperated for one year before you can file for a divorce. I haven't seen her or our Son since. She and Her Brother have kicked me and our Daughter to the curb! All the bills; water and electric, natural gas, telephone, cable and Internet were in her name, and she paid the rent. She get's SSI (Supplemental Security Income) and disability payments because she's handicapped. Her brother manages her bank account so he's in charge of her money.
I'm a Computer Aided Design (CAD) professional who works from home. I don't make a lot of money, but when I do make money it goes to my family. Before my father passed away in 2014, my Dad paid our rent every month, and when we couldn't afford it, he paid some of our bills. All the money spent came out of my inheritance after he died.
My Wife and brother-in-law were going to have everything disconnected, but I was able to get everything put back in my name before they had a chance. Now I'm struggling to find enough work so I can pay June's bills and all the utitility deposits. I need help or I'm going to be another homeless Veteran who served our country honorably.
I've been diagnosed with having Tinnitus, or ringing in the ears and it won't go away, so I'm in the process of filing for disability with the VA. I was assigned to an A-6 Intruder Squadron and served on the flight deck of an Aircraft Carrier, so I'm hoping this Tinnitus is service connected.
Everyday I've been reading my favorite Bible verse, 23 Psalms.
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
