Help Me Cover Back Rent

A month or so ago I authorized a creditor (a debt collection agency) to debit my checking account for $330. Instead, they took $3300.  Needless to say, this caused a problem, including the bouncing of my rent check.

To make matters worse, the agency refused to return the money or even admit that they had done anything wrong. At one point they even denied that the woman I spoke to ever worked for them.

I have engage the services of a lawyer, who has taken the case and we are filing a law suit to recover the money (and then some), but that won't produce anything to help me until sometime next year, if not longer.

That leaves me struggling to cover the mess left behind.  The first and foremost issue is that back rent.  So far, I've paid back $500 of the $1800 I owe.  I also have a few other bills I need to cover soon.

I hate asking people for money. I'm in a position where I have no choice. I have exhausted every other avenue to fix this on my own. I can't get a loan, I don't have much worth selling.  

But!  I do some stuff that's worth money and some of that is listed in the rewards.  If there's something else I can do for you in return for your donation (editing, writing, etc) please let me know.  I'd rather earn it than just ask for it.

I'm a bit on the desperate side.
