It's NaNoCon, the first annual Nashville Nones Convention! It's a party bringing new friends, great ideas, and stronger bonds among secular people in our area. It's less than 6 weeks away, and YOU can help make it happen! David Silverman, president of American Atheists, will be our keynote speaker. David's travel expenses have been generously covered by the Murfreesboro Freethinkers, and he is not charging a speaking fee. The money you give here will cover the expenses of the facility (which will be between $400-600), the refreshments to be served ($80-100), promotional costs to include website set-up, printing, and graphic design ($300-400), and other incidentals to cover our bare-bones budget. NaNoCon is organized entirely by volunteers. This event will create a legacy of camaraderie and community among the growing Nones in the mid-South region, and lay the foundation for an annual event that will galvanize the secular community. It's all happening in Nashville, the buckle of the Bible Belt! Your contribution is a big help, no matter how small... It's history in the making, let's build something together!
