Hi my name is Miriam Reyes and I am trying to help Mami (Nancy Rios Parquer) raise the funding she is required to have, to be able to get on the kidney transplant list according to Florida Hospital Transplant Center. Let me explain to you what is happening...
So mom has Polycistic Kidney Disease, it is a disease that is in our family. She found out she had the disease when she was being tested as a possible living donor for her brother, in fact we all got tested and it resulted in finding out that Her and I both have the disease as well. It's a disease you learn to live with, which she has been doing for at least 30 yrs now, unfortunately however the disease has progressed to Stage 5 meaning that mom now only has 5% kidney function left so, Mom is facing the possibility of a life time of Dialysis if she does not get on the Kidney Tranplant List.  Mom recently received a letter from the Transplant Center informing her that she will be placed on hold for consideration to be placed on the list unless she shows that she can financially pay for any medical expenses that her insurance does not cover  without jeopardizing her household expenses. Mom is now losing hope of getting on this list, so this is why I am reaching to all our family and friends for help. I do not want her losing hope, all that know her (Nancy) know she is a fighter, she fights for all of her friends and family, so its our turn to fight for her!!
