Ashlei Fox Funeral Fund is being established to help raise funds for the funeral expences of Ashlei Fox.
Ashlei was born and raised in Beckley WV by her Mother Elizabeth "Liz" Hinkle Fox Helton. She resided with her Mother, Brother Daniel Fox, maternal Grandmother Helen Keffer Hinkle, and her Uncle Brandon "Baba" Hinkle. Ashlei was a junior at Woodrow Wilson High School.
Ashlei.. A fun camo n boots wearing country girl that loved her family, friends, and beloved dog Dutchess. Particularly close to her heart was her "mini me" Ally, a lil' cousin that she devoted herself to. Ashlei enjoyed playing softball on team Magestic's for Beckley Little League. Ashlei was a girlie girl that loved make up, selfies, texting, the mall, movie nights, roller coasters and of course her country music. One of the highlights of Ashlei's life was seeing Kelly Pickler in concert. This morning Ashlei's story might have sounded just like any other seventeen year old girl, that is until tragedy struck. Ashlei awoke early in the morning of February 23, 2015 with breathing issues. Her mother administered a breathing treatment, which is normal protical for Ashlei's Asthma. She did not respond with the intital treatment and continued to suffer from shortness of breath and bronchospasm. Her mother put her on home oxygen but to dismay Ashlei colapsed before her. Emergency 911 was called and disbatched but because of poor road conditions and JanCare not being able to reach her home ( which is in city limits)with their ambulance, Ashlei had to be carried out on a back board. This combined with 911 putting them on hold, unfortunately, wasted precious moments that could not be regained. Finally, upon arrival at Raleigh General Hospital Ashlei was rapidly rushed in and for over an hour and a half all life saving measures were executed. Sadly, Ashlei's heart never regained rythem.
This catastrophe comes less than a year after the passing of Ashlei's maternal grandfather, which the family is still suffering some financial difficulties. As we all know, funeral homes and burial guardens require payment before they will provide their services. With that being protical we are trying to raise the funds for a proper and speedy burial. The family has decided to use Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Chapel at 1901 S Kanawha St. Beckley, WV 25801. All donations will be greatly appreciated by the family and friends of Ashlei Fox.
