Hello, my name is Michelle Lewis. In 2011, I created a business called Unique Ice Cream. Unique Ice Cream
is a new alternative style of ice creams made with the freshest ingredients and are inspired by utilizing such products as: blends of fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices, liqueurs and meats and are freshly made to order. I provide full service desserts catering for special occasions and specialize in Ice Cream Socials, Sundae Buffets with all the toppings, and prepackaged ice creams for different events. These catering services are ideal for bridal parties, anniversaries, casual barbeques, picnics, birthdays for children and adults, and any other celebration where you want to be unique.
I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada and now currently live in Georgia. Food has always been my passion and I have always been an explorer of all types of foods and hope to try as much as I can in my lifetime. In 2011, I graduated from Le Cordon Bleu of Culinary Arts in Atlanta, GA and I am currently completing my Bachelors in Culinary and Hospitality Management online through Le Cordon Bleu in Scottsdale, AZ.
I have traveled to various events to display my ice creams around the city for people to try our unique flavors. I won 1st place in the desserts catagory at the Southern Classic Food and Beverage Show in 2013 with my flavors Sour Cream topped with raspberries, Chocolate Cayenne and Sweet Cream Corn drizzled with salty caramel. I have also been contracted to create ice cream flavors specially to accompany other products in other individual's competitions as well.
For the past three years, I have been talking about my dream for my ice cream business, but I believe that it is time that I turn it into a reality. My ultimate business goal is to see this amazing product on the freezer shelves of local grocery stores nationwide and selling from ice cream carts in parks and at events. In order to achieve this dream I understand that I need to take small steps to start off. There is already a buzz in the community about my product and I would love the opportunity to expand it.
Here is where I need your help:
I am asking for support to buy the ice cream packaging and lids. Our minimum quantity order of containers required is 10,000 costing $4000.00. Our ice cream cart will cost $4500.00. The remaining funds, along with my savings, will be put to use for permits, products, production and to hire one employee to assist me to hit the ground running.
I have been working on this venture for the past three years now and understand how much time, effort, hard work and determination it will take to make my dream a reality. I AM READY. This campaign is probably one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. I am asking for your support to help me get there. Please support in any way, whether it is through a donation, spreading the word through word of mouth or the power of social media or both. EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS.
