We are asking for your help to raise money for 15 year old Yaroslava. “Slava” attends Columbine High School as a freshman.  Slava was diagnosed last June with neurosarcoma. This is a form of cancer of the connective tissue surrounding nerves. She is currently battling this dreadful disease at Children’s Hospital. The physical, emotional and financial pressures on her and her family are great.


In 2011, Oksana came to the United States and in July 2012, Slava and her dad, Viktor followed to escape the unrest and threat of war in the Ukraine. Slava loves her new home in Colorado and she is interested in interior design, she enjoys meeting with her friends and taking pictures (selfies!), and she loves, loves, loves cheese!


Slava and her family need our donations as they are facing astronomical medical bills over and above their insurance benefits. Supporting this family that is so loved by the 5280 Gym and their gymnasts is an opportunity to help Slava during this extremely difficult journey.
