Replace Ms. Marotti's Classroom

Donation protected
As a recent graduate from Montclair State University , I landed my dream job in an urban school district. Knowing that this path would require me to invest blood, sweat and tears as well as countless hours and a large amount of personal funding, I took it upon myself  to fully accept the challenge. Being a first year teacher I had fully furnished our 1st grade classroom. Within our classroom the students had access to: a widely-leveled library, various multisensory aids to ensure my students individual academic goals could be reached, differentiation supplies, multiple response tools, daily supples such as: crayons, markers, glue sticks, pencils, highlighters, etc. and numerous academic enriched games.

On Tuesday, February 17, my students and I arrived to school to find our oasis destroyed. Due to a massive watermain break that began over the weekend, our classroom flooded. I was hopeful that the flood was localized to one area of the room, unfortunately that was not the reality. The entire room was affected. A few hours later, once I was able to enter our room I was overwhelmed with the extent of the damage. The water entered the room from above causing the entire ceiling to collaspe. Additionally, the water had began to leak out of the windows. The students lost all of their academic and personal belongings. Our classroom lost: interactive notebooks for Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies, crayons, markers, glue sticks, contruction paper, whiteboards, the entire classroom library, all the enrichment games, art supplies, individual book selection dependent apon interest and reading levels, student mailboxes, classroom rug, reading carpet squares, computers and classroom decor.
I am asking for assistance on behalf of myself and my 23 1st graders who now find themselves having nothing in their desk or around the room. Nothing to encourage and support their academic growth. Please help us to rebuild Ms. Marotti's 1st grade classroom.
