Keep MotoMatters Free And Independent
Donation protected
MotoMatters.com is an independent website and blog dedicated to providing quality journalism and a unique insight into the world of MotoGP and World Superbikes. To allow us to be both independent and keep up the very high level of writing and reporting that our readers are accustomed to, we need to raise funds. The more we raise, the more we articles we can research and post on the site.
Why not rely on advertising?
The income generated for publishers from online advertising have fallen dramatically. As a result, publishers are forced to put more and more ads on a single page, including video, which has made reading websites a miserable experience. We want to provide a pleasant reading experience for our readers, and so have chosen not to run any advertising at all.
What does your donation pay for?
Attending a MotoGP race as a journalist or a photographer is not cheap. Flights, car hire, hotels (even cheap ones), food. Flying from Europe, as I do, a weekend costs well over €1,000, or even more. Then there is the cost of hosting the website. And paying for the articles and photos from our contributors, from Steve English, Zara Daniela, Jared Earle, Cormac Ryan Meenan, and others.
Why donate?
If you believe that motorcycle racing deserves quality writing and exceptional photography, we need your help. Without financial support from our growing army of supporters, we will not be able to continue.
