Mom For Mom

NICU mommies spend tireless hours being at their babies bedside. The days can be long and lonely. Sometimes we also need to feel safe and secure under the coziness of a warm blanket, and so the idea of "Mom for Mom" was born. 

I was given a sewing machine by my mom for Christmas and I instantly felt called to make use of it by giving back.

Mom's who receive these blankets will know they were made by the hands of another NICU mom who has been in their shoes. I hope they'll use it while they take a few minutes to close their eyes or enjoy a good book between care times, or during skin-to-skin with their precious little miracle. I hope they will lay it on them and feel that they are loved, supported, thought of and prayed for; for they are part of a sisterhood now and have a million NICU mommies behind them.

I will also pair the blankets with a small notecard about Madison's survival story and a $5 Starbucks gift card as a little treat for them. 

I'm grateful for your support in helping me get this program off the ground and know that 100% of the donations will go toward the purchase of fabric and supplies to create these blankets for mommies who, I know, could use a little love and support.
