LET'S INTRODUCE: I-REDUCE!

It can happen to everyone and anywhere.. little and annoying problems. Things always break down at the wrong moment, in the wrong place. The solution might be cheaper and closer than you think....

Hello, we are Ronin Technologies from Belgium. We got this idea from a 52 year old man, who is a pretty good electronic and mechanical engineer.

He got this idea by repairing a 14 months old 80 $ coffee machine with a spare part of 40 cents. Some of his friends and neighbors faced the same problem and were happy with his help. The machines run just fine now for over a year .

Other similar recent events brought us to the idea to create an app (I-Reduce) that could bring people with solutions to the people with problems. (skills, spare parts,...)

Did you know that 80% of the home appliances like washing machines, vacuum cleaners, coffee makers and so on can be repaired for a few dollars in spare parts in less than half an hour?

Did you know that a vast amount of CO2 pollution is generated by recycling these machines, by building and distributing new ones. Left apart the extra residual chemical pollution… It's a shame to see that the manufacturers of these appliances don't care.. Of course they prefer to sell new ones. Earth overshoot day was in August last year… How about this year?

But the app can go further than help you find repair people. There are thousands of sharing, give-away, eco footprint reducing initiatives, but they are scattered around the world, and when you need them, you often have no clue where to look. I-Reduce wants to centralize those initiatives and events in the backend databases of its app, so any one can apply to it whenever needed, where ever you are located, as any self-respecting smart device KNOWS where you are… on this globe. I-Reduce can help you track the right skills, spare parts, people, services, little favors and events exactly when and where you need them most.

For instance, you broke your leg but you need to go to the grocery store… You cannot, but your neighbor might be going to the shopping mall for himself in a few hours. Knowing this, he might be happy to help you out.

The whole idea is to create a more friendly and responsible community in which people are willing to trade and help each other, and at the same time make this planet cleaner.

To create I-Reduce, we are looking for 35.000$ to develop, test and launch the app in a 6 months- time frame.
