The Building:
The Mills Seed Company Building is an integral part of Washington's varied history. It was built by a group of local investors in 1907 to house an international seed company. During its 107-year history, it has served as a seed company, a Pearl Button distribution hub, a printer of greeting cards, Valentines and Bridge tally cards. This 40'x 100' brick three-story building has stood on two sites. It was moved to its current location, 212 North Iowa Ave, in Washington's Main Street Historic Section which has an interesting history in itself. The Mills Seed Group is undertaking the revitalization of the historic building for its second lease on life. We see the building's second century as one that will add to the growing revitalization of Washington's vibrant downtown.

The Plan:
The Mills Seed Group is looking for assistance in this first phase of revitalization in the form of window replacement, front entrance steps and an entryway. The Mills Seed Group is looking for $6,900 in assistance to see this essential first project off to a successful start.
