On December 8th, 2014

 Bradley D. Evans is a dear friend of mine. He was involved in a horrific automobile accident while returning home from work. As the Executive Chef for Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity on the campus of the University of Florida, Bradley had driven this exact route home for almost five years. A wrong way driver hit Bradley’s car - head on - at highway speed. Bradley’s injuries were quite severe including a compound fracture of the right femur, seven cracked ribs, two broken ribs, a concussion, a severely bruised kidney, broken right tibia, fibula and metatarsal just to name a few. This tragedy changed his family’s life -in an instant- from Holiday and Christmas cheer to the worries of emergency level one trauma care and recovery. Bradley spent almost seven weeks in the hospital and is now facing gargantuan expenses despite insurance coverage. The first medical bill received is for $129,000.00 with more bills arriving daily!! His family’s income stopped immediately as Bradley is the sole breadwinner. Now three months after the wreck, the family’s savings and emergency funds are gone. Bradley is still facing months of recovery. Katie, Bradley’s wife, is a full time Mom and now has become a full time assistant to Bradley as he recovers. This fund is to help this family cover living expenses, doctor visits, and care for their son. Bradley has always been the first in line to help others, active in multiple charity events, strong supporter of Boy Scouts, Junior Honor Society and neighborhood feasts.
