Hello, my name is Erica. I am 26 years old. By the time I was 16, I was diagnosed with severe PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome).

This disease, PCOS, causes a lot of problems. From having trouble losing weight to excessive bodily hair and even problems having a baby.

Not many of you know but roughly a year ago I had a cervical biopsy done. I was diagnosed with cervical dysplasia, which is a precancerous condition in which abnormal cell growth occurs on the surface lining of the cervix or endocervical canal.

At that time, I was told it was at a level 2. When precancerous changes are seen in tissue biopsies of the cervix, the term cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) is used.

The highest grade is CIN III and I was diagnosed CIN II. I was in between the moderate to severe with my dysplasia (precancerous cells).

Why am I blasting this for the world to see? Because as many of you saw yesterday, I am reaching out for help.

My grade level with my dysplasia puts me at risk to have a Hysterectomy, which is the surgical removal of the uterus. Hysterectomy may be used if dysplasia recurs after any of the other treatment procedures.

A year ago, my doctor almost advised me to have a hysterectomy then because my biopsy and risks were higher than expected. I informed them that I wanted to have a child of my own and therefore we took a less effective route.

But I was told that in a few years to come - my odds of having to have a hysterectomy would increase each year.

I have took every dramatic path to try to achieve our dreams. In December 2014, I underwent weight loss surgery  (gastric sleeve) in the hopes of fighting PCOS in readjusting my hormones, losing weight and getting pregnant. The Doctors all said that my chance to conceive would increase with this surgery. It did not.

After having surgery, I dropped 60-70lbs. I spent the last 5 months taking my metformin and chlomid religiously and developed clean eating habits.

This morning, I got the ovulation test results back from my Doctor. My 5th and final month was a failure. The cholmid does not work for me and instead of me taking the last and final dosage (you can only take it a max 6 months in your life) - my doctor confinded in me and expressed that at this point she cannot help. She advised that I see a fertility specialist.

This is where you can come in. My insurance does not cover infertility. At this point, moving forward, I have to now pay for everything out of pocket. From what a few of the specialist have told me, this is going to cost a lot. An IVF procedure alone is being estimated at $7,000.

It destroys me that I cannot concieve on my own. As a woman, who feels like she was meant to be a mother, I feel defeated.

I am doing everything I can to save the money to help support my fertility treatments but I need help to do it before time runs out.

The clock is ticking and I am at the mercy of time.

Even if you cannot support with a donation, please support in sharing my story or sending prayers/love our way. Because each share, prayer or donation is putting us one step closer to making us proud parents.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
