A Night in the Gloo!

Donation protected
Apsley School Council has coordinated the building of a Rainbow Igloo for the Apsley Winter Carnival on February 21, 2015. Apsley School Council Chair Carolyn Amyotte and fellow parents Ann Johnston, Jen Temple and Jenny Atmore are pledging to spend a night in the igloo if they can raise at least $1000 towards the purchase of leveled literacy program resources to help their students. They believe that being a small school with a limited budget in a small, rural community shouldn't prevent their children from accessing the same programs and resources that other schools with bigger budgets can.   Their local Lions Club has gerenously donated $2000 towards this $5900 purchase. The public response to this fundraiser has been incredible and the ladies now realize they may have aimed too low!  They want  to raise the $3900 remaining, not just a $1000! Please help them reach this bigger goal. They plan to have the sleepover no later than March 21, 2015, provided there are no safety issues that arise. If you prefer to donate off-line you can send a cheque to:
Apsley Public School 238 Burleigh St. PO Box 279, Apsley ON, K0L 1A0.
Cheques should be made payable to Apsley Public School and please note the igloo sleepover on it.  Please donate generously to help them give their students the resources they need to achieve academic success!
