MARTA’S DANCE MISSION IN UGANDA

Hi, my name is Marta. I am a 24-year-old professional contemporary dancer and I have come here for help with funding for a dance project for orphan children in Uganda.

The aim of this project in conjunction with the “New Dawn” Christian conference (over 150,000 attendants, which will take place in January 2017) is to provide 200 underprivileged children with the opportunity to explore their creative sides and to be productive in a way that may not be previously opened to them.

Through these workshops I will be working on physical exploration of spirituality, finding personal ways in which to express themselves in a universal physical manner.

My mission is to bring three weeks’ worth of immersive workshops culminating in performances over the entirety of the New Dawn Christian conference.

Funds will go towards music systems, necessary expenses and performance costumes. Every donation – small or large - is appreciated. The more money I receive the larger the benefit for these children.
