Prayers & Help for Mark Paulsen
Many of you have heard the terrible news on what happened on our 4th of July night. It was such a great 4th of July for our family but ended in a tragic event. Mark Paulsen & Logan Skow were both jumped and beaten near Mark's Omaha home. Logan is alright and was able to walk away with bruises, cuts, bloody nose, and broken blood vessel in his eye. Mark was not as lucky and is in critical condition in the hospital fighting for his life. They were both ganged up on by multiple men and had no chance of self defense. Mark has SEVERAL fractures through his entire face and skull. He has multiple fractures in his forehead, nose, cheeks, temples, upper jaw, deep inside his skull, and all around his eyes. He also is suffering with an internal bleed in his brain.
Our family was sappose to leave for a weeklong vacation to Mark's favorite lake in Minesota for a week to fish with him this Friday July 10th. This has been a huge shock to our entire family. We will use this website page to update everyone as both my mom, Jessi, myself, Ashley, and Mark's phones have been blowing up with so many people wanting to help us in any way they can.
My mom is still recovering from her total hip replacement surgery and is unable to work and now Mark will also be out of work for several months and we can use any help at all possible to help cover bills for them. They will have hospital bills from all of this as well that will be overwelming on top of this and will let everyone know more when we can.
Mark has went through facial reconstructive surgery and had multiple plates put into his face. He has a couple more surgeries to go through yet over the next 6 months to a year. He may not develop feeling back in his face for 12 months if it even does come back. We are very blessed that he is able to see and talk with the extent of the injuries he had and still has after surgery.
Most of all we are asking for Prayers for Mark as he is in very bad condition. THANK YOU to everyone who has shown us your love and support, you have no idea how much all of you mean to us in this terrible times!
