Mandy's Ayahuasca Healing Retreat
Donation protected
After being told in 2010 that I had 5 years to live and after living in a hospice and being bedridden for 3 years and in a wheelchair for 4, I have made astounding gains by firing my doctors at Harvard, Tufts, and Boston University and turning to the ancient medicine of ayahuasca. I am fortunate enough to have been selected to attend a unique retreat in December to heal with proper ayahuasca shamans instead of doing it by myself, which is never advised. Because I have no family and am far away from close friends, I do not have the resources to make this trip, having been unable to work since 2010 when I woke up one morning in such pain I could not get out of bed, and remained in such a state for years.
The first time I drank ayahuasca I was still travelling by stretcher and ambulance whenever I left my apartment, but in my first treatment I stood up and walked by myself. Slowly I have made incredible gains. I am now able to walk and go outside by myself, but my hands are still badly scarred and my working alone with the sacred plant medicine has hit a wall. I need to go to a country where it is legal and I can work with its rightful practitioners who live alone in the jungle for 2 years drinking ayahuasca daily in order to become an ayahuascero. I am so grateful for all of those who have helped me in this journey that has saved my life, and I hope to raise the funds to go to the retreat later this year.
I received a generous scholarship to the retreat and so the amount of $3000 goes toward the remaining balance as well as travel expenses for both me and my helper, without whom I am unable to make such a trip (we will take a plane, taxi, boat taxi, and a donkey!). Thank you so much for your love and support. It is a miracle that I am alive, and I am so grateful.
I look forward to participating in the documentary that will be shot during our retreat and being a part of the western doctors who will be training to run their own retreats and save more lives that western medicine has given up on.
*some friends are sending money via paypal, and as they do I edit the amount being raised, hence the funky number!
