Help! Daisy Needs Surgery

Daisy and I have been together for 10 years. When I adopted her, I was 21 and she was barely a year old. She was abandoned by her previous owner who used her as a decoy for his farm dogs to fight with so they wouldn't fight with each other. She is sweet, loving, ornery, and smart. She is the first dog I've ever had and the best one I could have ever asked for. I've done my best to be as good to her as she's been for me.
Daisy loves chasing (and occasionally catching) bunnies, sunbathing on my patio, and pretending to be tired during our jogs so she can look for squirrels. Her two favorite things to do are eat and nap (in that order). I'm pretty sure she's achieved the level of Jedi Master when it comes to convincing you to give her your food, and she currently holds the record for shortest time to full-blown snoring from wide awake of any human or dog I've ever encountered. She's my bed warmer at night and my study buddy during the day.
Recently, I noticed a lump growing on her neck. She has a few fatty lumps here and there, but this one felt different. It's firm and not very mobile, the opposite of the fatty lumps. It doesn't seem to bother her, but I was worried because it felt warm to the touch. I took her to the vet and he did a biopsy.
The pathology report came back today and she has a soft tissue sarcoma. The vet explained that these types of tumors are locally aggressive and invasive. Fortunately, we caught it early and complete surgical excision is still possible.
Unfortunately, as a 2nd year medical student, I'm not in the position to be able to afford the procedure that my fat baby needs. If you are interested in helping us, I know that we would be beyond grateful and forever indebted to your kindness and generosity.
