In Memory of Violet Sky

Donation protected
Heaven has a new angel looking over us today. We are asking for donations for the Cortez family to cover some of the unexpected tragic news to lay Violet Sky to rest.  It is with our deepest hearts that we appreciate any donation you may be able to make.  Violet was 18 months old and left the world way too soon.  May she rest in peace and she will be waiting to greet us all at the gate.
Thank you for your donation or just to read our story.

Violet Sky Cortez was laid to rest February 7, 2015. She was born July 22, 2013, and went to be with the angels January 29, 2015. Violet “Sky” Cortez is survived by her Daddy Josh Cortez and her Grandparents Tom “Grampy” and Melva “Grammy” Cortez; by her Great Grandparents Eloy and Rosalinda Vasquez; by her Aunt Alcelyn and husband Jason Whited; by her Uncle Seth and wife Ashlie Cortez and their children Addison, Aubrey, Anderson and Charli Rose Cortez. Sky is also survived by many Great Aunts, Great Uncles, and second cousins.
An angel came to earth in the form of Violet Sky Cortez for 556 days. Some people dream of angels and we were blessed to hold one in our arms. Sky was a joy and a blessing to everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. She was the “perfect” child. There was just something special about Sky. She captured our hearts from the very beginning. The loss of Sky leaves many hearts that are broken. She had only begun to live. She passed through our lives too soon. For every day of her life and the years she had yet to live, we will all be changed because of her story. God, in his infinite mercy, rescued Sky from the evil that touched her. God knew she was just too beautiful for this world.
As a butterfly graces our lives with one moment’s fragile beauty, so too has Sky’s presence blessed us all with her short life and unique spirit. May we all find peace and joy with each butterfly that passes knowing that Sky lives on in the hearts of all of us she touched. We carry her with us always, tucked in our hearts. We are never apart. Our love for her will last an eternity.
Sky rests in the arms of her Creator and is at play with the angels. We close with scripture from the book of Mark 10:13: Jesus said “let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. And he took the children in His arms, and put His hands on them and blessed them.”
