I can't figure out how to decide a goal amount on this page. I started with a $1.00 because truly we appreciate any/all support we are getting. We are just a family in a difficult spot trying to figure it all out. The life expectancy with DIPG is very short, its a fast and furious tumor. I cant even find the courage to write it out but if you want to read more here is a link.
Our only hope right now is to get her in a clinical trial to buy us more time. Trial expenses often aren't covered by insurance and depending on where the trial is located there are travel costs that add up.
And if we aren't lucky enough to get her in a trial then we hope to spend the time we are gifted from radiation together as a complete family, which means my husband taking extended time off of work. Donations here will help us cover the day to day bills.
So again I am stuck with figuring out the right "goal amount". I think maybe I stick with a dollar since every one is truly helping our family. And hope that this part of JLKs story is shared.
