Hi, I am seeking your help with regards to a very worthwhile charity which I am trying to give some help too. It is Help for Homeless Veterans and it was begun 4 years ago by a friend of mine, Tom Wood.  For the last 2 years it has been registered as a Charity. The aim is to provide accomodation for homeless veterans who find it difficult coming to term with civilian life after their military service.  Tom  and his wife Jean have continuly knock themselves out to rehome veterans from the streets of the UK. Tom recently gave an address to Barnsley Council, with there comsiderable help Tom was given 4 disued council homes flats / houses. With a lot of hard work these properties are now home to veterans that once didn't have a roof over their heads. Tom  reached out the hand to say I Care, so when you next pass someone on the street sleeping rough, don't be so quick to turn away or make a judgement. For maybe he or she was that person that stood at that post so you could enjoy the life you have today. Tom acquired another 3 properties from Barnsley Council and set about turning them into homes once again. Tom has rehomed 6 male veterans and 1 female locally, and has helped a couple of veterans in Wales. Been offered accomodation in Scotland and Northern Ireland and no matter were a veterans is in the UK Tom and the charity will try to help. Funding as you will appreciate is hard to come by. Tom has travelled to different events just to bring in a £100, he has put his hand in his own pocket and his friend have tried to help. Tom Immediate great need is for a medium -large Crew Van so he can pickup veterans,carry furniture,other household goods,paint etc. I wrote to van dealerships not seeking a new van but  one that had an engine and MOT and 4 wheels, but to no  avail. Please would you give just £1 or $1 to help this charity to continue to give hope to our veterans, were our Government has failed to hounor their promise's to our veterans.
