Hi, my name is Anthony Beckwith, and animals are my passion. For that reason, I've spent the last decade of my life working in British circuses, as I feel that they are the best medium through which to educate the public about wild animals. The bond between man and beast cannot be presented better than through live presentations.
In recent years, through intimidation from the animal rights movement and bitter rivalry from within, British circuses have lost faith in their heritage and way of life.
One by one, circuses across the UK have downscaled their animal content and even dropped them entirely.
But I won't give up. Having worked closely with Britain's last lion and tiger trainer for a number of years, and admiring his desire to be open with the public, we feel that we must team up to start our own mobile educational big cat presentation.
Our programme will feature a big cat training display and talk, demonstrating the humane methods used in teaching these majestic animals their amazing feats of agility. Also, we will include displays of horsemanship, llamas, and dogs in our presentation.
This venture will be the first of it's kind to tour the UK, the ancestral home of circus, at a time when it faces it's greatest political threat.
With your help, we can raise the funds to purchase a small big top and other essential equipment with which to present our production, and help to save a timeless tradition in it's land of creation.
