Brain Cancer Fund for Bill OB
I underwent an awake craniotomy for the removal of a brain tumor. On the upside, 1 year 9 months later and I’m alive. On the downside, it’s a malignant cancer and the prognosis is not good. Complications related to the brain cancer are an epilepsy like seizure disorder and DVTs. A nice 1-2-3 combination, brain cancer, epilepsy and DVT (deep vein thrombosis)
My name is Bill O’Brien and I’m a father to a 16 year old daughter. Actually a very proud Dad as Erin recently named to the National Honor Society.
Cancer is a nasty disease, and brain cancer is the big nasty; a disease with the potential to rob you of you, slowly over time. An insidious cancer that will steal from you the essence of who you are. “I think therefore I am”. Well, what if you can’t think?
This diagnosis has placed us in a difficult financial situation. And sadly there are not many organizations that help middle-aged men with a rare brain cancer. However, I’m very thankful that a site like GoFundMe exists. And by the grace of God this campaign will continue to find the eyes of caring and compassionate people. It's only with private donations that we'll have the resources to cover the costs of highly specialized care. The costs associated with care are an enormous burden. And the financial stress rivals, if not surpasses the stress of the diagnoses.
All funds go to cover health care insurance premiums, prescription costs, co pays, and all other medical and “life care” expenses, like rent and utilities.
I fully understand that donating money to someone is tough, especially when you have your own families to care for. So I ask that if you cannot contribute at this time then please share our campaign link with your friends via Facebook. And share with your colleagues on LinkedIn.
Thank you and God Bless and then bless again. Love from Bill and Erin
And please undrstand that every donation of any size is a blessing.
