Bob Pond was a victim of a hit and run in LA on October 2, 2014. He suffered serious injuries including brain trauma, broken ribs, pelvis and numerous fractured extremities. He is still unable to speak and is only minimally conscious. He has enormous medical bills and his wife is living off of a small social security payment.
Bob was a DJ in the 50's and 60's in Arizona at KRIZ radio station and was honored there in 2014 prior to his accident. We are asking especially those special folks in music and radio to help a fellow broadcaster.
Due to having phones cut off and old contact numbers, it took almost 3 months for Bob's sister to find him and even learn if he was still alive. Bob's wife is 67 and not in great health and faces fines for lack of upkeep on his house.
We are asking for donations for Bob's medical bills and for help with other expenses such as getting his house/yard up to code, getting utilities back on, etc.
