Sudden Move: Mold Problem

Donation protected

Hey guys! I hope you all are having a fantastic beginning of the new year!

I just want to start by saying THANK YOU so much for viewing our campaign! Whether you are here to read or help, just your thoughts and prayers are a blessing.

My name is Tiffany, or Tiffa for short. I live with my boyfriend, Miguel, in a studio (mother in law suite) behind one of our friend's house.

Staying here has been wonderful and full of great experiences, especially with our loving neighbors inviting us to bonfires and get togethers.

We initially were not intending to move into this place, but certain circumstances happened and it ended up being so. It's not big or fancy, but we were really excited to still make this place work! Here I am putting up a spice rack, the walls are extremely brittle so we really had to be careful to find the wood behind it to be able to hang anything up.

We've been here since August 2013, and a few months ago I left my job to pursue my artistic career. I thought that finding a part time job would be easier around this area. Having no car really limits the possibilities though. I still have high hopes though! I've been doing art shows and random little events at restaurants and getting by on my savings.

If that wasn't a big problem already, we now have a nasty mold problem. It's has been mercilessly reaping our clothing, dishes, packaged food, and bedding (nooo our pillows -sad face). The island that I'm laying down on in the picture above is a really neat catch that I found at a garage sale! It fit perfectly between the wall and the oven. It's a nice moveable one that I prepare all my meals on...but now....this

The damage from the moldy beast!

This is nasty....I've been trying to save it by cleaning it over and over.
Our clothes....even the fancies O ^ O

This is us sorting through our movable closet picking away the extremely moldy clothes vs the not so moldy clothes.

We are also taking down all of our posters. I do a lot of crafting/sewing so I have some fabric and things around....the ones that were not in big blue bins have met face to face with the mold monster as well.
This is my lunch box that I have converted into my yarn holder.

 Here is also the ceiling....

The ceiling here seems to be dipping, it's not very
visible in pictures.

Just above the lights is where it's starting to have water droplets. We sleep right under that.

We have searched high and low for a place that we can afford in a safe neighborhood, we have a few potential places, but the upfront costs are outrageous. 1500-2000 minimum :( that's paying deposit, first months, setting up electric and possible water/sewage/trash if it's not included (but we are trying to stay away from places that don't include that). We no longer want to sleep in a moldy suite so we are trying to move asap. I'm sure it's not good breathing in all that nasty stuff.

Thank you guys so much for viewing our campaign. Anything at all helps, even if you come across this and just keep us in your prayers, that is more than enough :)

I will draw for any amount given! Just send me a message and let me know what you would like. Anything up to $5 will receive a sketch. Anything up to $10 will be a colored piece etc~ <3

Again thank you so much! Have a wonderful rest of the year and more :D

Here is a link to some of my works~ I also do photo retouching if anyone is interested in those :>
