Starting Frippery's Muse
Donation protected
For about 5 years I've been in and around the belly dance community of the Triangle and have noticed a lack of costuming resources besides the internet, festivals and other events . My shortterm goal is to have a booth at the flea market at the state fairgrounds to see how it will do. I also plan on doing local events.Besides belly dance, there will be things for steampunk, fantasy and renaissance faires. I originally thought about naming it 'Shimmy' but decided on 'Frippery's Muse' because it had a broader meaning which would encompass other costuming needs
Along with mass market pieces, I will like to sell things made by local artists and craftspeople. All about supporting local when I can.
Part of the money will be for inventory, part for fixtures, part for office supplies.
I'm determined to bring to the area a belly dance resource that's easy to get to, they can see the colors instead of relying on their monitors. Yes, I'm starting out small but as long as the stars align right, it will grow into a brick & mortar store that's open more than just on weekends and closed during the month of October for the state fair.
Thanks!
