Art Education funding for Heather

Hello Friends,

I am humbly putting out a call for support to help me attain my dreams in transforming from a "good" artist to a "great" one.

I have a BFA in Graphic Design, and chose this career path as a way to make a practical living. When I graduated high school, I was disenchanted by the modern art education available at the universities, and felt that I could rationalize away my creative passion with other outlets. And so, 8 years into my career this part of me is stirring again.

My creative energy has been awakened, and I have been feeling called to create art based from my spiritual experiences, dreams, and imagination. I want to share my art with the world, raising consciousness of those who gaze into it. My vision is to blend dreamscapes with reality. I want to communicate effectively the trickery that our eyes play, by becoming a master of illusion on canvas. To do this, I must learn how to paint in a realism style with oil paints. 

I began my studies at the Atelier School of Classical Realism (http://www.atelierschoolofclassicalrealism.net) shortly after the New Year. Unfortunately, my non profit job at an independent newspaper in Berkeley is just barely paying my bills, and the class tuition and art supplies are adding up quickly. 

My goal is to raise $5,000 which will cover tuition for a full year at the Atelier school. Every dollar helps, and I know that a year from now I will be creating things that I can't even dream of today.
